Mark Attends Economic Summit on Jobs
Mark Culver attended the first annual Economic Summit on Jobs in Dothan on Wednesday. The purpose of the summit is to bring together people's various interests, talents, and knowledge in order to find ways to stimulate job growth in southeastern Alabama.
Mark attended the Medical group and Infrastructure group meetings. The Medical group decided to create an online resource to better highlight and present the community's numerous medical resources to companies looking at relocating to southeast Alabama. The Infrastructure group is looking at creating a southeast Alabama regional water authority in order to better meet the needs of the area's growing water demands.

Republican Party Opens Campaign Headquarters in Dothan
8/3/10 - The Republican Campaign Headquarters is now open on the Northwest side of Ross Clark Circle, near the post office. You can now pick up your "Culver" yard signs, bumper stickers, and cards to support Mark's reelection campaign.
100 Days till general election
7/24/10 - Today marks 100 days until the November General Election, just a little over three months. I will be working hard during this time to make sure everyone knows how much I would appreciate your vote, how hard I will work to represent the great citizens of Houston County, and how important it is to have experienced leadership as Chairman to help move the County into a new decade.
To be successful, I need your help. I ask you to join the great group of volunteers who are already on our team by volunteering your time, requesting a yard sign, agreeing to host a neighborhood meet and greet, or showing your support in other ways. Mark meets with voters at the Kiwanis Family Fourth Celebration
7/5/10 - Mark, Tami and a great group of volunteers spent Independence Day at the Kiwanis Family Fourth Celebration meeting and greeting lots of friends and voters. Many yard signs, bumper stickers and tshirts were given away. Go to the Campaign website to get yours.
Houston County makes list of top 5 retirement locations
7/01/10 - In the past week, Mark has announced that Kiplinger placed Houston County in the top five retirement locations in the country, helped obtain a $549,000 Industrial Grant for Ashford, assisted the American Cancer Society in their fund raising efforts, and reported a 4.2% sales tax increase for May. Good things are happening! We need to Re-elect Mark Culver as Houston County Commission Chairman!
Memorial Day - Remember to Vote!
4/24/10 - On May 31st our nation will celebrate Memorial Day and commemorate the brave men and women who died while in the military service. As we honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice, we should also say a prayer for the safe return of all the soldiers, sailors, and airmen who are still overseas, fighting to preserve our liberty and defend our republic.
Many have given their lives that we may live in freedom and have the right to vote. On Tuesday, June 1st, we should go to the polls and cast our votes for our chosen candidates. There is no greater way to honor the sacrifices of so many than to exercise our right to vote.

4/23/10 - A Democrat qualified to run against Mark on the last day and will be on the ballot in the November General Election. We will need volunteers, people willing to knock on doors and others so please sign up here at Mark2010.com
Mark makes it official!
3/1/10 - Mark made his official announcement that he will be seeking re-election as Houston County Commission Chairman. The event was held at the Wiregrass Rehab Center and was attended by over 100 supporters, local mayors and other elected officials.
Mark Culver set to announce reelection bid
2/19/10 - Mark will announce his intention to run for re-election on March 1 at 11:00 in Lion's Hall at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center. Everyone is invited to come and show your support.
Mark Culver Files Qualifying Papers
1/4/10 - Today, Mark filed qualifying papers and paid the qualifying fee to be a candidate for reelection as Chairman of the Houston County Commission on the Republican ticket. His name will appear on the ballot in the June 1 Republican Primary.
Mark is in the process of getting campaign material together for distribution. "Over the next several weeks, we will be putting out signs, bumper stickers and campaign information. I ask for your support and vote" Mark said.

45 Days Till Qualifying for 2010 Elections Begins
11/15/09 - In 45 days, qualifying will open for the 2010 elections. The Republican Primary will be held on June 1st, just a little over six months from now. Mark Culver will file his papers on January 4th to seek re-election as Chairman of the Houston County Commission and hopes to count on your help and support.
Bumper stickers are now available. If you want to visibly show your support for Mark during the busy holiday shopping season, please let us know by e-mailing the campaign at mark2010@graceba.net. We will bring a bumper-sticket to you or let you know where you can pick one up.

Mark elected to Alabama Republican Party Executive Committee
08/31/09 - The Houston County Republican Executive Committee, at its monthly meeting tonight, elected MARK CULVER to fill a vacant seat on the Alabama Republican Party Executive Committee. Culver will serve the remainder of the term and will run for a full term on the State Executive Committee in the 2010 Primary.
